@zenangst though I also disabled rootless via recovery mode (cmd+R on boot, security menu item, untick box)

@zenangst hmm, that's all that I had to do: boot rootless=0, `mv AppleHDA.kext /System/Library/Extensions/`, reboot to rootless :/
