@skwashd @KathyReid (much more so when you’re used to faster, I guess. I’ll get used to scheduling downloads overnight :( )
@skwashd @KathyReid yeah. it’s “okayâ€, but waiting a couple of hours for an IDE download (or similar) ruins productivity
@skwashd @KathyReid haha sure, of course. but I can’t get 100mbit at home (or even a tenth of that) in a city. it’s precious.
@skwashd @KathyReid yeah under load LTE of course loses. but in modest/favourable conditions, how is it so much better? vs a hard line wire!
@KathyReid oh sure, I get why it’s not “for everyoneâ€. but at 4am (when no one is online), LTE kiiiills over my home connection. incredible.
@KathyReid what I genuinely don’t understand is that LTE mobile is *so* much faster with only slightly worse latency
@KathyReid I struggle to stream youtube half the time if I’m doing anything else. it’s adorable that “24mbit is enough!!!â€. so cute. aw.
@KathyReid and it’s more expensive than the 100mbit back in Germany :(
@janklausa whoa
@KathyReid I’ve been back a couple of weeks, and oh boy. “what do you mean I can only get 7mbit here??????†x10000 -me
@dimsimkitty slow, steady, and obviously winning the race
@earthxsucks sounds like it
