@ratkins culture fit in interviews matters more to me in hiring. lack of tech skills is fireable in probation period
@ratkins my interviews are pretty free-form tbh. generally not very technical, but more like "where do you learn about new libs/frameworks?"
@ratkins it's a way better starting point than sitting down together with a blank whiteboard
@ratkins I like it to show how people work, and to prompt 'okay doing it for real. what would you do differently?'
@ratkins +1 on that. I like issuing a (paid) max 8 hours task that should probably take 12 hours to do 'right'
